COMMITTEES: Alternative Youth Activities Executive Committee Members |
TRAINING YOUTH ACTIVITY WORKERS COMMITTEE The Training Youth Activity Workers Committee of the Healthy Youth Development Advisory Board acknowledges that youth activity workers teach much more to their program participants than the subject material they present, by their demeanor, their attitudes, and their behavior. We also recognize that leading youth activities and programs is an enormous challenge, and that these workers deserve the most complete and effective training that can be found. To that end, the Training Youth Activity Workers Committee will seek to coordinate the flow of information regarding training opportunities to youth activity workers, tracking needs in that area and gaps that need to be filled. Goal: To provide Youth Activity Workers in Erie County with the resources they need to provide Erie youth with the assets they need to avoid risky behaviors and grow into happy, healthy, productive adults. |
