ALTERNATIVE YOUTH ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE The vision of the Alternative Youth Activities Committee of the Healthy Youth Development Advisory Board is that all youth in Erie County have access to appropriate activities that contribute to their healthy development. The committee is currently partnering with Erie 's Promise, the Union City Healthy Youth Development Committee, United Way, and Weed and Seed to conduct the Erie County Youth Activities Survey Project. This project seeks to identify all existing youth activities so that youth and their families can know what is available, providers of the activities can improve their communication and collaboration with each other, and gaps in service can be addressed. Goal: To survey youth activities, promote the filling of gaps in activities and participate in ongoing collaboration to assure that Erie County and Erie City youth have the opportunity to participate in activities that promote healthy youth development.
